This my my slide on the history of basketball (the best sport)

And how It has got to where is is now.

This slide has been going on for awhile now and I have finally finished it.

THE BEACH (my story)

This weeks writing had to be about the beach I decided to add a "INTERESTING" twist. enjoy! (and comment below what you think)

The clouds had given up on hiding the sun from the empty beach. So mum and dad let me walk down to the beach. As I make my way down the stone path holding my towel there's a small, warm wind whipping my chest. 

I skip along the sand and eventually get to the water. I step into the shallows and Sand creeps through my toes tickling me, I giggle, a little 6 year old laugh. The ones that make all my big sisters friends go “awwww”. Water jumps up snatching the sand from my toes and The sudden cold of the water makes me yelp.

I feel safe in my soaked togs, the warm breeze flicking my hair into my eyes. I look around to check who's watching and find the cove deserted, I quickly pee in the water and then take a deep breath and dive into the ocean.

As I penetrate the water the The air is sucked straight out of my mouth. bubbles surround me and I choke and struggle “help!” 

I scream, “help!”, but all my desperate cries do are produce bubbles.

As I try to get to the surface I remember what my 5 year old swimming teacher taught me a year ago.

I begin kicking, kicking, kicking I put my hands up into the rocket position as I break the surface. I gasp for breath and open my eyes I feel sticky and look around to find I had wet the bed yet again. 

“Mum!”  I yell.  She doesn't answer. I look over at my clock it reads, 3:18 am. I groan and slip out of my stinky wet sheets and scutter down the hallway “Mum!” 

I enter her bedroom and begin vigorously shaking her “what?” 

she groans from deep in her throat.

“I wet the bed.” 

I say in shame.

“NOT AGAIN!” 

Villager "fortress"

This is inspired by the Minecraft villager houses. I made a walled area to protect the villager from the "Zombies"

Its all most finished and I am wondering what to build next.

NEW NZ flag design

I feel like the new Zealand flag voting turned out really dumb so I decided to make my own. I kept the southern cross and the union jack but I thought It should acknowledge Maori culture.

 

What good writers do!

 At the end of last term, ATN had to put together a teaching slide about all the things they had learnt in writing.  It had to give an example and use a range of media to present their learnings.  They have blown me away with what they learnt.  I wish I could post all 24  but I will add just my top 5.  P.S.  it has been really hard to narrow it down.  I hope you learn something from these very cool slides.  Leave us a comment about your favourite tool or new learning.  Enjoy.
